banana cream pie
smooth, sweet, banana filling, with homemade whipped cream, and buttery graham cracker crust.
the crust: ​
1 package of graham crackers
1/4 cup of butter
pinch of salt
the filling:​
2 cups of milk
1/2 cup sugar
4 1/2 tablespoons of flour
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
whipped topping:​
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 of powder sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
topping:​
freshly sliced bananas
mint (optional)

Directions:
Crumble graham crackers and add salt. Melt butter and stir until combined. Place in pie dish.
For the filling, add milk, sugar, and flour in a sauce pan and cook until thick. Temper the egg yolks one at a time. Add butter and stir well. Cool the mixture, and add vanilla. Once cold, place in pie dish with the graham cracker crust and chill in fridge.
For the whipped topping, whisk together heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla. Top with sliced bananas and mint. Enjoy!
